Customize the Daily Journal Module

In this topic, we'll show you how to customize the Daily Journal module. You can easily customize the Daily Journal Sub Modules, prepopulate drop-down values and show and hide certain data from the forms using the Daily Journal customization features.

Customized User Interface
  1. Click on the profile image located on the top right corner of the Builderbox screen.

  2. Click on Settings.

  3. Click on Modules, listed on the Setting menu.

  4. Click on the Select Project drop down and select a Project, for which you want to customize the Daily Journal.


  5. Click on the Gear (Settings) icon located next to Daily Journal. Daily Journal is listed under Builderbox Field.


  6. Click on the Grid Interface radio button to change the default interface for the Daily Journals on your project. You can choose to show all the Sub Modules on the same page using this feature.

  7. Click on the Yes button. The default interface for the Daily Journals in the selected project will change to Grid View.


  8. To check the new default interface, select the project, for which you have changed the default interface, from the Home page.


  9. Select Daily Journal module.


  10. Click on the action Menu icon.


  11. Click on the View.

  12. You will notice that the default Daily Journal interface will be changed to the Grid View.


Customized User Interface

You can choose to customize individual Sub Modules as well. To customize the Inspections Logs Sub Module follow the steps listed below.
  1. Click on the Type field under listed the Inspection Logs Sub Module.

  2. Enter a new inspection type name in the Inspection Type text box.

  3. Click on the Save button. The new Inspection Type will be added to the list.

  4. To edit the Type, Click on the Edit icon located inline with the Type.

  5. Update the Inspection Type and then click on the Save icon. The Inspection Type will be updated. 

  6. To delete an Inspection Type from the list, click on the Delete icon located inline with the Type.

  7. Click on the Yes button. Inspection type will be deleted from the list.

  8. You can set a default Inspection Type by click on the radio button located inline with the Type. The default type will be automatically populated in every new Inspection Log.
